My Favorite Charities — Gifting the Giver.
Built on a genuine love for community.
For decades, My Favorite Charities has served as a social organization built on one simple foundation: a genuine love for community and for those who serve it.
The giver needs to be seen, too.
Long before there was a formal platform, there was service. We have helped raise significant funds for organizations, increased visibility for worthy causes, connected people and resources, and shared our compassion for individuals and organizations committed to making a difference.
Our community impact has included partnering with Centene Corporation and the Douglas Youth Center of Kingsville, Texas, for a large community back-to-school drive featuring Pro Football Hall of Fame great Darrell Green. We have also collaborated with Texas A&M University–Kingsville (TAMUK) and its Athletic Department, bringing organizations, resources, and community leaders together in service to others.
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, our commitment to service became even more critical. We helped facilitate the donation and distribution of more than 50,000 medical gowns to healthcare organizations, including Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, and CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Kleberg in Kingsville, Texas. At a time of extraordinary need, our focus remained simple: connect resources with the people and institutions that needed them most.
Serving on boards and alongside community organizations has been an honor — and we continue to do so. But through decades of service, we recognized something that is often overlooked: there are people who continuously pour into others. They sacrifice their time, finances, resources, energy, and hearts, often receiving very little recognition or support in return.
That realization became the heartbeat of My Favorite Charities: Gifting the Giver.
How it works
Our foundation identifies front-line workers in underserved communities — the teachers, the healers, and the builders — and provides them with "Gift Grants" to sustain their personal well-being.
Community leaders submit names of selfless individuals making a difference.
Our board reviews the impact and needs of each nominee through local vetting.
Selected givers receive a direct stipend, no strings attached, to rest and recharge.
Ongoing support networks ensure these pillars of society don't burn out.
